Project 3
Did you hit the deadline?
Yes, I did hit the deadline.
Why not?
Did you work outside lessons at all? (all A)
Yes, I did majority of the editing outside of work at home in my free-time as I could focus more.
What process did you go through to make the film (B)
We went through a long process to make the film. At the start we had to allocate everyone with a job role and their position, when everyone was happy with their job roles we started looking for locations. When locations were found we started doing all paperwork needed, E.g Recce, risk assessment, costumes, job roles list etc. After all the paperwork was done we went out and did blocking, meaning we used the locations we were going to film in and checked out how the recording would look like in the location, if we were happy with the location then we would keep it and move forward. If some location didn't look good we had would have to go and look for other and do all the paperwork again. After the blocking was finished we made a rough copy of our film. We filmed it like it was our final cut and we then created an edit and made notes of what shots need to be re-filmed and why to make sure we don't make the same mistake again. After everyone finished their rough edit and made notes on what we need to change and why we went out and changed it. When everything that had to be re-shot was re-shot we put all the previous clips and the re-shot clips together and made a final cut that we then uploaded to YouTube.
Which part has the best lighting, sound, acting? (C)
The best part in my opinion was the planning of the heist scene as that scene has the really good overall effort from all actors and camera people. The camera work in that scene is good, the acting is amazing and the lighting is good as well. I would say it's the most enjoyable scene to watch throughout the whole of the film.
Which part would you re-shoot? (D)
The part I would personally re-shoot would be the planing scene as there was a few mistakes that we made whilst filming it and were a bit too hard to fix and would also take a long time to fix. The mistake was that we filmed the scene in two different rooms meaning that the scenes looked different constantly and didn't look smooth or correct at all. Other than that all other shots were filmed correctly and look smooth.
What would you do differently next time (E)
Make sure our time management is better and we do a lot more productive work during lesson and try and get more shots done in lesson, as this time it took us a long time to finish filming and if we put in a lot more effort and focused more as a group we could of finished it quicker and maybe even to a better standard.
What five edits do you need to do next? (F)
The next five edits I'm going to do is I'm going to balance out the audio as some of the audio is extremely quiet and some of it is extremely loud. The next edit is to make the intro with the characters and make is similar to the intro I did for Brooklyn 99. After that I will edit the end of the film as I have to add a voice-over of someone reading a note that gets handed over to the two students. After that I will edit the voice over of the characters explaining how the heist is going to work out as the audio there is really fuzzy and doesn't sound good, so we had to re-record it. The final edit I will do is the credits, I will add rolling credits with all the actors and other major roles in the film, and add royalty free music behind it.+
What emotion are you trying to convey? (G)
The emotions i'm trying to convey are excitement and thrill.
Find five sounds that would help (H)
-Clock Sound
-Wild track sound
-Footstep
-Heartbeat sound
-High pitch whistle.
